We do this because galleries, museums, non-profit art organizations, and artists are important. We urge you
to support them whenever possible. COVID-19 is still a dangerous threat, so practice safe distancing, wash
your hands and take other protective measures so that we can continue to open our country safely.

an informative and useful art guide for your community and for visitor to it. Let's work together,
so we can create even better and more accurate online art guides.

River Arts District
The River Arts District consists of a vast array of artists and working studios in 23 former industrial and historical buildings spread out along
a one mile stretch of the French Broad River. You can discover works in paint, pencil, pottery, metal, fiber, paper, glass, wax, and more!
You'll find a diverse group of more than 200 working artists in studios and galleries housed in the area.
Many studios, showrooms, and galleries are open every day, all year round. There are no official "Open Hours" for the River Arts District, but at any
given time throughout the year, you will find a plethora of open studios and galleries. Getting to the River Arts District is easy, look for the pole banners you'll see along the roads have background colors
(red, green, purple, blue, orange) that correspond with an interactive map of the site, and also with the building colors and page headers in the printed Studio Guide.
Take advantage of ample parking and hop aboard one of our free trolleys running on Second Saturdays. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, as well, in most studios and
even on the Saturday trolleys! Come for the opportunity to take home that special artistic treasure made and sold by the artists you meet here.
