Every month on the third Thursday is Artwalk Tacoma. Galleries and art museums stay open until 8pm and usually have special events, like artist receptions
and opening previews. Museums are free in the late afternoon and evenings untill 8pm.

Alma Mater
Alma Mater at the Carpenters Building is an artist-driven work, performance,
and gathering space. The Carpenters Building houses both private and public
spaces for artists to create, collaborate, and engage with each other and the public. Our facilities include a coffeeshop and cafe, lounge, event spaces to house 5 to 500 people,

American Art Company
Art from around the world. The American Art Company mixes contemporary works of art on paper (etchings, silk-screens, and
collage) with paintings, sculpture, art quilts, contemporary expressions in wood, and baskets. The artists we represent are from Japan, Europe, and the

Creative Forces Gifts and Sundries
This is a terrific gift shop, showing artwork by local artists (very talented and experienced artists). Unique, affordable and fabulous small artworks.

The 950 Gallery (formerly called Spaceworks Gallery) provides a space for contemporary artists and curators working in the Pacific Northwest to host feature exhibitions.

This creative project features real postcards (the kind you send in the mail) by twenty Tacoma area artists.

Throwing Mud Gallery
Is a working pottery studio and contemporary crafts gallery located in the historical Old Town District in Tacoma.
